Teryn Cha (a.k.a. Yoo Jung An) has earned a sub-award of the NSF award (Award No. 1935076), entitled “Open Collaborate Experiential Learning (OCEL.AI): Bridging Digital Divides in Undergraduate Education of Data Science.”
This project aims at the long-lasting impact on minority communities by establishing a Networked Improvement Community (NIC) among Essex County College, University of Missouri-Kansas City, Eastern Michigan University, and the University of Florida.
The sub-award amount is $25,000.00, whose budget for students who participate in learning activities in Data Science disciplines such as digital storytelling, data preparation, data modeling, and analytics, data visualization, and presentation.
Dr. Cha has committed to promoting students in developing a keen interest in skills and careers and self-efficacy to use computer technology and bring positive changes to their education, information, and cultural opportunities in digital societies.
